QUICK CHANGE ADAPTERS

On a Bourgault four-hole shank, the centre hole of the

adapter should be plugged to protect the spring ball from

gases when used as a NH

applicator.

In rocky or abrasive conditions, the bottom nut may experience

excessive wear or damage. This problem is alleviated by placing

the bottom bolt in from the back of the shank and putting the nut

in the front of the adapter.

This adapter can be used on a 43° shank by adding a 7° plastic

wedge (400-WDG-0700).

Special note for John Deere: certain chisel plow models including

the 685, 1810, 1820 and 2400 may need a 3° wedge to attain proper

sweep pitch. Seepages 72–73 for more information.

Shanks with the open bottom bolt hole require the 047-ACC-1002

to keep the bottom bolt inplace.
